The first entry in the bespoke NU ROMANTICS line by Wederhake & Dinter (est. 1801). George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron, later George Gordon Noel, 6th Baron Byron, FRS (22 January 1788 – 19 April 1824), commonly known simply as Lord Byron, was an English poet and a leading figure in the Romantic movement. Byron is regarded as one of the greatest British poets, and remains widely read and influential.
He also shredded a mean axe.
When not busily recording solo albums like »She Walks In Beauty«, he was the mastermind behind the 1816 supergroup, BYRON MAIDEN. The ‘MAIDEN, of course, featured the awesome talents of vocalist Mary »Wollstonecraft« Shelley, drummer Percy Bysshe Shelley and handsome but stoic bass player, John William Polidori. Byron’s »(Not Live but) Death At Lepanto« will remain one of the most important live albums from the Nu Romantic era.
