On our first visit to the ice beach at Jökulsárlón we found really big waves pounding the beach and all the ice that was jammed up in the surf line. It made for some great views as the light transitioned into the sweet pastels of sunset. I've been here several times before but it's always a bit different, and I'd never experienced these conditions there. A 100-400mm lens was used to look down the long view of the beach and isolate a distant cluster of ice. I'm looking forward to returning in March to lead another Creative Discoveries workshop focusing on auroras and ice caves.
