I think the threshold to be a great digital photographer is so very, very high in the opinion of others. Digital photography is now so ubiquitous that just by the sheer volume it is hard to promote your awesome compositions to be considered above the average.
Im not a photographer, but totally admire the eye and composition of those that strive to rise above.
