I am a scientist who works in artificial intelligence and cognitive science. I went back to taking photos 2012, and began on a self-taught fine-art photography path in 2014. In my digital editing table I combine digital and analog substrates, seeking a way to speak about an emotion, or an idea. I am not so interested in being a great image editor/creator unless it captures something that captivates me for some reason. I have communicated this work through Instagram under my pseudonym @sejkko and have been lucky to have my work featured by international media including Eired magazine, the Telegraph UK, the World Photography Organisation and several others - see http://sejkko.com/press/ - for more info.
About the works.
Top: The Night Inside Her Purse. This is a piece I produced for Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt, Germany to celebrate the work of René Magritte. It is about a young lady who knows herself very well, so much so that she is not afraid of the dark and can even carry it inside her purse for times when some dark is needed.
Middle. The two houses. This was part of the same Magritte project. It depicts a vision of the active, awake self, beside its dreamer counterpart.
Bottom: From my series of lonely houses, this is the second chapter of a running idea I refer to as "Nature Wins in the End"
