« Galactic Love »
I did a Spacetime series a while ago and represented women literally in galaxy form, either being transformed while being touched by someone or just entirely being of galaxy. I always saw this as the galaxy being energy transferred but I thought that it could be a good metaphor for love too.
I see this as a transformation, good or bad, just as love apparently does; it can metamorphose someone into something beautiful (beauty of galaxy) or ugly (witches in the background) without them noticing.
I'm Malika, 20 and I am an upcoming artist from Brussels. I've been drawing since I've been able to hold a pen and haven't stopped ever since, I've always been interested by anything art related so I am someone who's always trying new ways to create; from gouache, watercolor, clay sculpting to digital and markers, I've tried them all out of curiosity. I also didn't have access to an art establishment until I started college (this year) so I most of the time learn on my own with the help of Youtube videos or references on the net.
Everything around me or that I saw in my life inspires me; fashion, make-up, old paintings, other people's art, etc. but women especially does because they suit my aesthetic but also because I haven't grasped male anatomy yet...
