Friday, I had the pleasure of touring the Seaspan Vancouver Drydocks, a large industrial complex in our neighbourhood, but not accessible to the public. This was to write a "Behind the Scenes" article for the community website to whom I'm contributing, http://lowerlonsdale.ca.
I was toured about the facility by Ben Cartwright, the Assistant Ship Repair Superintendent, who graciously allowed me to ask questions and to take photographs for the article. It's such a marvellously incongruous sight to see vessels such as barges, tugs and a BC ferry up out of the water!
