The wreck of "Oimara" has lain on the shoreline at Tomasjordnes outside the city of Tromsø close on 100 years. The ships latest voyage was as an refugees transport from Murmansk, Russia, around 1917-1927. The ship was built in England and was first used as Russian freight ship. The ship had an oak hull and iron pails, which made the ship exceptionally strong built. The wreck is a favorite abode place for cormorant.
