This past week, we have been working on instructions. Specifically, how words and images work separately. We're supposed to make two sets of instructions for a task that not everyone may know how to do. One set of instructions is written, the other just images. It definitely shows how much instructions may rely on the mix of the two, and how much detail you need to keep in mind when you only have one of those elements to rely on.
For my project, I've been doing how to create what I'm calling the KU Cone, or the cone that the student sections make for KU Men's Basketball games out of the campus newspapers. Testing it on friends, there seems to be issues with the rolling portion of the cone and describing how to tear the pages for confetti in the simplest way possible. Getting the time to create it as nice as I can in Adobe will be the struggle going forward for sure.
