An old poem I wrote on Thursday, April 6. 2006 entitled -
I EAT YOUR SKIN
That peels from you
You rip at in sections
As it cracks and breaks
I ask for you to keep it
And sneak it to me
Which I nibble on it when no one is looking Hide it in my pocket when I get hungry
I chew on you
Gnaw at your exoskeleton
Crack through the hard bits with my teeth
The one that protects you from the world
So you do not have to live
That does your breathing for you
My mouth exposes your naked flesh underneath
Which I then pucker
And kiss
To know that your elbow is loved
Your forehead is loved
Your navel is loved
Because glued together
They make you
Which is so soft
So warm to hug
That I want to lean into you
Nip at your shoulder
And eat your skin
Because your soul
Makes me ravenous
