It's eating me up...2017 #Illustration; #GIF
One sleepless night full of circling thoughts - why can't my brain just stop? Drawing stops the brain, it is like a need to document things and then I can sleep. It started with a sketch, altered digitally the days after and when it still doesn't feel quite finished, a little animation. I like the artistic constrain to create an animation with nothing more than a drawing or an unfinished sculpture. It creates the right atmosphere when it is not planned, when the animated parts are not created to be moved and it just happens accidentally.
My art used to be a very private activity, until I learned about Ello. None of my work was ever exhibited except online on Ello and on my website. I never learned how to draw. I never wanted to learn it either, as I was afraid I would then try to be good, too please. I like the appeal of the slightly unprofessional, the inspiration to everybody, that art can be created by anybody. Through Ello I started enjoying reactions and dialogues my work triggered, so I started showing my art to my friends and people visiting my house. The conversations and the thoughts people shared when they saw some of my drawings were extremely interesting and provided so much insight, laughter and further inspiration, that I would like to broaden my reach and trigger more reactions.
Thank you very much @Ello and @Studio for the all the inspirations and the challenge!
