"The Rise and Fall of Lady Stardust" by Starky Morillo
The concept for these images came to me while listening to David Bowie's "Life on Mars." I honed in on the concept of looking around at a brutal world and wishing to leave it. In execution, though, I focused on Bowie's album, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. I imagined the Lady Stardust in the album as living as Ziggy did, arriving on our planet, rising to fame, and ultimately ending in the "rock and roll suicide."
