I saw you in many different colors and for a while it felt right to write about them all. Each hue a different scent, every shade unique and sublime. Every part of you represented by colors that are so discernibly influenced by the seas you have walked upon and lands you have danced on.
You were beautiful, even when I got too close and saw your very core dappled and tarnished. Even when you tried to steal my colors so you can shine with them, too.
You shone too brightly and I was dazzled, blinded.
