Cristina Serra was born in Italy in 1973.
She studied graphic art in the High school G. Sello in Udine, Italy.
Afterwards she continued to learn traditional and contemporary art techniques. She is especially focused about painting and drawing.
In the last years her artworks have been selected, awarded and published, in Italy and abroad as well.
She is a contemporary realist painter and in her works she try to capture special moments or feelings that deserve to be remembered. Here the balance of lights and darkness is managed in a very personal way to achieve a deeper kind of art.

My paintings are emotionally-based psychological narratives where the details lie in planes of color. I choose to exaggerate color, in a sense break up a color field into its constituent colors, directing the viewer to particular areas by applying juicy bits of heavily saturated color. I strive to capture emotional states more than anything else, purposefully laying strokes down to create the illusion of an outer physical topography that houses an inner one of the soul. Though it is a cerebral concept that motivates me, the process of painting is superior to all else.

My body of work is a visual journal, some accounts are pivotal others are simple. I work to present this personal subject matter with economy of action and integrity of personal expression. I enjoy searching for the moment in a painting when the least amount of detail meets the truth of my subject. It’s this truth and simplicity that allow the viewer to connect, ultimately relating my work with their own experiences.

While working on hit records in the music industry has played a driving force in his career, it’s Vakseen’s (born Otha Davis III) passion for the arts that has served as his key to sanity in the fast paced entertainment business. The self-taught, Floridian has developed a distinct collage-influenced painting style (Vanity Pop) that fuses elements of cubism, photorealism, fashion design and pop surrealism into vibrantly alluring, abstract portraits. While most viewers assume they’re viewing collage or mixed media art, each creation is in fact meticulously hand painted directly on canvas. Drawing distinct inspiration from our fascination with popular culture,
