This has never happened to me before and probably won't happen again. I only make sausage in casings every couple of months. It probably works for you, @whenpigsflycharcuterie, a lot of the time but this was a first for me.
10 lbs of Andouille sausage in one casing with no breaks, even after I pricked the bubbles, and no breaks when I twisted them and no leaks when they smoked. That's what I call intestinal fortitude!
