we're on two wheels baby! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzI61CIpVAU i wish that band was still a band, anyhow...
The bike's rolling pretty sweet now and so it should. Saturday I took it to be repaired, the guy was like really over apologetic about the cost especially considering i've taken it to him so many times recently because of this that and the other. But i was just glad it was sorted that day so i could get on it and ride.
The dropper caught in the back wheel so got torn off and in doing so ripped a couple of spokes out the wheel so a hole was torn out of that too. I've had this happen on a much more expensive bike and it shattered the whole frame. But on the plus side the parts that were replaced were from when the bike was new.
Eventually perhaps if i keep the bike for long enough there'll be nothing on it that was there originally. It's like people, i'm not the same person i was 20 years ago, personalities change, attitudes and opinions are replaced. People and a lot of other things are too subject to change to say they can be defined by any one state. We're narratives, a story of the how why when and where of our changes from being one person to becoming another. We can't be defined in terms of one single impermanent state, not if you want to say the person who was born as you is still that person when you die. See, just like my bike. In years to come every part of it may have been replaced but it will still be that bike.
I dunno maybe, everything's like a grey smudgy mess with everything merging in to everything else.
