Test persons needed for clinical trial: External Brain Stimulation during Minimally Conscious or Persistently Vegetative States
Quantum Immo, Former Beirut-Damascus Megalopolis
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate objective improvement in clinical outcome by external brain stimulation in patients in a minimal conscious or vegetative state. Our hypothesis is that stimulation of the hypothalamus results in the subjective experience of a real inner world, which relies on internal psychological conditions and external primed data in equal parts. If this study demonstrates that the induced artifical reality can help to understand and cure chronic major depression, then a larger randomized prospective crossover trial will be proposed.
