Christy Stallop is an artist living in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in El Paso, her work is greatly influenced by the west. Her subjects range from local landscapes to whimsical grackles that border on the absurd. Mainly an oil painter, Christy has recently integrated spray paint into some of her work which is used in the background to create a bokeh effect. Influenced by design and balance, her work often shifts perspective into unique directions. Christy’s primary focus is creating work that connects with one of the most universal human emotions, happiness.
