"Let me tell you a story."
Six little words every devoted reader loves to hear their favorite author say. Those words are music to our ears. Hell, it doesn't even need to be said out loud. Each and every novel that's written and released shouts it from the rooftops. Sometimes it's a brand-new story, something we can sink our teeth into. A story that hi jacks our imagination, takes us to exciting new locals, introduces us to new characters and then deposits us back safely to the comfort our homes, leaving us exhausted, travel weary and satisfied. We then take that book and tuck it away, lovingly – with all the others, to that special “bookcase” in our hearts.
Then, at other times, it's the continuation of a beloved storyline we've been itching to get back into and spend time again with all our favorite characters. To be able to reminisce with everyone and catch up with their lives, their loves and, sadly, their losses. To have the opportunity to say “Hello, old friend, I’ve been missing you!”
Six little words we will never tire of hearing. Six little words that totally transform and transport our minds. Six little words that place us in the warm embrace of an author. Gather round children . . .
