Submitted to The Art of Love
To give a brief introduction, I am a 2nd-year Master's student enrolled in the Graphic Design program at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India.
My artworks here on Ello are a result of my experimentation with Motion/Kinesis in Graphic Design. Lately, I have been trying to research on the semiotics and aesthetics of abstract motion in graphic design. As a visual communicator, my experiments are helping me understand how motion can add or alter meaning to static elements of graphic design(type, form, colour, etc.), and what role does motion play when one considers beauty in the realm of graphic design. How can motion/kinesis help graphic designers to visually communicate messages better?
Most of the artworks are perfectly looped, I guess the perpetual aspect of motion in the artworks is acquired by my philosophical conflict with the impermanence of life. Though, as I am experiencing more of the world around me, I understand that 'change is the only permanent thing'(Buddha).
The artworks themselves inquire about the dichotomy of change (through motion) and the human desire for perpetualism.
