Breaking the silence on OpenShells. The ISP hosting our servers was requested to turn over our servers and a few of their other clients servers to a agency not to be mentioned. It appears that this had nothing to do with OpenShells. The ISPs attorney represented us as well as other organizations hosting colocated equipment.
We were advised to avoid possible interference charges to simply stay quite and let the process work its way out. To make a long story short, this seems to have been good advice as we have been cleared, no equipment has been turned over.
We have chosen to leave the existing equipment with our attorney for the time being but will be rebuilding Openshells. We do have backups of home directories.
More to come...
