And I actually managed to take an even longer brake from here than before! 2 months! Actually can't even imagine it, it feels like a few weeks max!
If it's too much to read, I'll try to highlight more important parts in bold!
@budnitz @cacheflowe @anna - hoping that the Android app is close! Also congrats on the iOS app, even though I really don't care for that ...(I'm an Android fan through-and-through!)
I also wanted to thank you (and other members as well, just don't know all of you and no point in listing) for the work you have done and are doing! Ello is impressive as it is, I just hope it grows enough to start being more interesting to my friends as well (missing private messaging is probably the biggest culprit in keeping me from winning them over to come here)!
And now to what has kept me too busy to post here! Since I can already feel I'm starting to ramble...I'll try to keep it short
Although I couldn't take the full 30EAP in school, the end of the semester seemd to be even more crazy than usual...no idea how's that possible
Finally managed to get my exhibition up! Actually it's been up for a month already! The pictures look even more amazing than I could have hoped!
If you happen to be in Tallinn, then you can go and see it TUT's Mektory until 20th of August!!
↓ A planet of my exhibition of planets! ↓
Haven't had much time for analog unfortunately, but I was able to pick up my Minolta a few times! The roll comes out of development tomorrow!
And I actually went to my second competition this year...the last time I shot was during the last competition..two months ago!!
And I had only shot once outdoors before that..and that was after a 12km running event
So you can imagine that I wasn't very optimistic! Went to shoot last Thursday...felt great, which was really weird. The same on Friday..getting even weirder. At this point I was sure that the competition was going to ba a nightmare. THe cold weather and the constant wind blowing against my freshly cut back of the head weren't helping either. I found a winter hat in my dorm to combat this!
Comes Saturday, I shoot reasonably well and rank 6th. I also get the first round -bye- (I ranked high enough to not get an opponent in the first round). Then comes the team event...after some struggling we manage to get the second place!
Comes Sunday, morning starts with mixed team rounds, the whole reason I agreed to take part in this competition was so that my gf wouldn't have to shoot mixed team with another guy (he smokes and doesn't believe in deodorants as far as I know...so you can imagine!! (I did however have to shoot the team event with him)). Everything goes pretty good, had some uncertain moments, but we pulled ourselves together and won the event!! After that I was beat, and ready to pack my things...shooting so much with no training is really tiring!
When the individual rounds began, my lucky hat was still helping me to beat others! Only that the weekend was sunny and it was also about 10°C hotter than during the week! I won several rounds and it was clear that all of my opponents were taking me seriously..probably more than me
I only lost once, in the half final, so I went shooting for the bronze. Then I got super serious, managed to pull myself together again and took it!
This competition was the Estoninan Nationals..and I took a gold, silver and bronze home with me!! Of course my gf was a lot more successful than me, she took two gold medals (mixed team with me and individual) and a team silver!
Still hard to believe this...I'm actually thinking about starting to shoot more actively again
