The cockatoo did not escape, but I woke up to him playing with a new night-night box. He's as happy as he can be making a new nest. He chewed a hole in the box and peered through it at me, almost gleefully, it made me laugh a bit. The sky has blue in it today and I feel pretty good, I'm afraid to take my meds because it will make me tired again. The wife's oldest boy who is nineteen is explaining to me that since he doesn't want anything for Christmas, we shouldn't expect him to buy us anything, no matter how small. I told him that it's not socially acceptable to just live with your family but ignore them the way that he does, teenager or not. I think he's upset with me right now, but it's so hard to teach kids how to be socially acceptable, when you don't really think social norms are fair to everyone.
