Short bio: Tasha Webster is a self-taught, mixed media, Visual Artist and Designer. She utilizes fine artistry techniques in her paintings, writings and furniture designs to explore and express complex thoughts, emotions and human experiences. Most of her work reflects subjects and observations of social justice, women’s rights and empowerment, mental health awareness and afro-culture. Her work depicts a unique combination of past professional experiences in social services, passion for equality, technology capabilities, and research of the radical advancement of black and brown communities. She utilizes her creativity and efforts in innovation to bring light to minority disparities and experiences, while also encouraging healing and dialogues that uplift often marginalized groups. She received a Bachelor’s of Science from Columbus State University in 2010 and is currently enrolled at Alaska Pacific University in an Executive Masters in Business Administration program with a focus on Strategic Leadership. Through her collegiate studies and personal research, her vision is to continue to enhance social awareness through creative projects and endeavors.
