We live in a system which finds convenient to raise insecure people. In Italy one person out of ten suffers or have suffered of Depressive Disorder. I’m one of them. As I started psychoanaltical therapy, everything went better, but yet I can’t say I will ever win this disease. I chase to build my University’s final project around Depression. This theme isn’t addressed properly in Western society, nor fought effectively. Every portrait is a self-portrait. Sometimes I find myself painting a self-portrait as a confused entity.

Raised in the Rio Grande Valley, I have been traveling the Western Hemisphere from the Mountains of Alaska to the Islands of the Caribbean for the past 21 years. I have been heavenly influenced by the people that I have come across with, sharing stories and different events that have happened. I spent most of my younger years traveling back and forth from Mission to Reynosa. I would always come across one specific building that displayed graffiti art work with current issues, it was constantly changing. I became more aware of my surroundings and what those works of art meant. They instilled humor to events that weren't so pleasant, making it out of the norm

My body of work is a visual journal, some accounts are pivotal others are simple. I work to present this personal subject matter with economy of action and integrity of personal expression. I enjoy searching for the moment in a painting when the least amount of detail meets the truth of my subject. It’s this truth and simplicity that allow the viewer to connect, ultimately relating my work with their own experiences.
