Svetlana books the last spot at WTA Finals in style!
Svetlana Kuznetsova has defended her title in Moscow and is heading to Singapore to compete at WTA finals. She overwhelmed a Russian born Aussie Daria Gavrilova 6:2 6:1 to take the title. By doing so the Russian player has knocked Jo Konta from the tournament in the last possible moment. In order to join the event she had to win the Kremlin Cup to qualify
Kuznetsova played a great tournament in the Russian capital but by no means was it easy on her body. She has 2 tough 3 set matches in her legs. Now she has to fly 5000 miles to Singapore and be at her best to play again. The question here is will she be able to compete at the highest level on Monday? Only time will tell...
(The scheduling is completely ridiculous if you ask me!)
