"Fantasy In Everyday Life" Series
A series of Fantasy in Everyday Life was created with a way that I places daily objects on a photo of common and neglected scenery captured while walking in a city in daily life, and rephotographs of it. Public daily life is realized with the scenery of the city. This is raised to the status of a piece of work by forming the non-daily scenery through encounter with personal objects that could be said a metaphor of private daily life; shoddy souvenirs having either visual similarity in the objects on original image or visual illusion.
We dream. Not in anywhere but in the city. Although our dreams look different, they all stem from what we have seen or heard somewhere, from our experience, regardless of their importance, and they all also grow from our ordinary undeniable lives. The Imagination that I add daily objects to scenery around me might be seen nothing more than a kind of kids play. However, the process of the work has something similar to my, our appearances that chase new dreams in the frame of the everyday life that cannot be easily escape.
