I should start out by saying the only qualifications I have to review knives are my opinions and an internet connection. I'm not an outdoorsman or a hunter or anything like that, but occasionally I need to cut zip ties and slice open boxes at work. So, I buy knives. Lots of them, actually. Anyhoo... The HR-15 is not a knife I particularly wanted, but I'd read some good reviews of it and when I discovered an eBay seller with new ones for $10 less than what the Amazon price was, I snatched it up.
-Holy fuck, this thing is heavy. Yea, it feels very sturdy, but I'm not sure I want to be lugging a pound & a half of metal around in my front pocket.
-The spring is way too stiff for my tastes, I cant even pop the blade out with the thumb screws.

Normally I'd carry a knife around for a while before writing up a review, but this just doesn't have an edc feel. This belongs more in a toolbox than clanking around in your pocket. The blade is 440C, which is good, not great, steel and it came fairly sharp out of the box. Everything seems well put together, no blade play or anything like that. For the price I paid, I'm content with it, but as I won't be actively carrying it around, it's probably not going to see much use, so...
