I am at a bit of a disadvantage reviewing this beer, having never actually eaten a snickerdoodle (those are made from Snickers bars and labradoodles, right?). While I can't tell you how close this ale tastes to the actually cookie, the other side is that I can give it an unbiased review just as a brew standing on it's own. Things start out with notes of sugar and vanilla extract, which quickly give way massive cinnamon flavor. That's pretty much it. The can says that they use "freshly pureed vanilla beans," but it has a bit of a medicinal taste that more along the lines of extract. An OK enough dessert beer, if somewhat simplistic. I would drink this again, but I doubt I would buy it. You might give it a try just to see if you like it.
