Somewhat of a pedestrian stout here. Chocolate and roasted malts up front, followed by lots of bourbon, and then wraps up with some vanilla and spices. There's nothing unpleasant about this beer, it's just kind of ho-hum. Aside from the pronounced bourbon flavor in the middle, everything else tastes muted. Those prominent bourbon notes also give the brew a boozy warmth, which makes you think it's way more than the actual 6.9% abv. Sometimes I drink a beer that I don't like, but I tell you to try it for yourself anyway, in this case it's a beer that is OK, but I know you can find better.
