As I've said in a few other reviews, sour beers are not really my forte; so one like this, that's been cellared for three years, might be totally wasted on moi. It's a holy war between sweet and tart when it first hits your tongue, with tart winning out. That fades into red wine tannins mixed with cranberries and green apples, which conclude with a dank, spicy yeast note. An interesting beverage, but not my thing. The 9% abv is masterfully disguised and sneaks up you. If sour beers or Belgian strong ales are your game, I suspect you will lurv this drank.
