I pretty much avoid Shiner these days, but a "cold-brew coffee ale" got the better of my curiosity. This tastes almost entirely of roasted coffee, with some light cream and chocolate poking through; not a very complex beverage, but in this particular instance that's not a bad thing. It's easy to drink and fairly tasty, I could see downing one or two of these with breakfast instead of a cup of joe. The one thing that might put some people off is the mouthfeel. Most coffee flavored beers tend to be stouts and porters, but this is an ale, so it might seem a bit thin or watery in comparison. Not a problem for me, I actually like that it doesn't coat the palate. Worth checking out.
