Ugh... So, Hoopla, the digital content provider I use to read graphic novels, has been recommending some pretty questionable titles, culminating with Grant Morrison's The Filth. How the person who wrote the Crawling from the Wreckage arc for Doom Patrol could also be responsible for this bugfuck tripe is beyond me. The Filth is basically 320 pages of grotesque ugliness for the sake of grotesque ugliness. There is no deeper meaning or purpose, the book fails to be interesting, thought provoking, amusing, or anything else. I suspect Morrison realized this as the title was drawing to close, because he attempted to tack on some semblance of The Filth being something more at the end, but he's unable to salvage it. Bleh.
Anyhow, sorry for the comic book rant.
