First of all, poetry is for pretentious nerds who think that just because they once wrote some stream-of-consciousness rant about their state of being and it got published at the back of their school newspaper, they've created art worthy of public recognition.
It's for hormonal teenagers who don't want to acknowledge their hormones (that wouldn't be romantic enough) and instead attribute their saturated emotions and constant discomfort to their struggle as an undiscovered genius.
It's for suckers who read milk and honey a couple times and thought "I could do that" and they could because milk and honey honestly isn't that good.
Second of all, I am one of those people.
And I'm really sorry about that.
Get used to it.
