“Suburbs & Cemeteries”
Was initially inspired by “walking on a treadmill backwards.” The analogy I used to explain my life struggle of desperately wanting to move forward but feeling the force of my past pulling me the opposite way. In juxtaposition, I added a birds eye view of your standard suburban town and of a cemetery. Both eerily comparable.
The struggle of living and dying. Boxed America. Naked in vulnerability, in birth, in burial. We’re all just passing through.
I have always had a love for architecture. Didn’t do well in geometry, but I never cease to get lost in the corners and detailing of aesthetic designs. Art is everywhere, one need only look for it.
