Dupla-Exposição apresenta novas fotografias de Francisco Huguenin Uhlfelder - fotografias com dupla-exposição, onde o negativo fotográfico não avança na câmera
e duas imagens são sobrepostas no mesmo fotograma.
Ao assumir duas imagens num mesmo fotograma FHU cria, sem interferência digital, uma outra imagem.
FHU (Foz do Douro, 1952) é fotografo desde os 11 anos.
Viveu em Salem, Colónia, Munique e Düsseldorf.
desde 2001 vive entre Lisboa e a Comporta.

Double-Exposure presents a new set of photographs by Francisco Huguenin Uhlfelder - photographs with double-exposure, where the film does not advance in the camera
and two images are overlapped in the same frame.
By assuming two images in the same frame FHU creates, without digital interference, another image.
FHU (Foz do Douro, 1952) is a photographer since his 11 years.
lived in Salem, Cologne, Munich and Düsseldorf.
since 2001 lives in Lisboa and Comporta.

With these photographs of double exposure Francisco Uhlfelder not only retrieves the source of photography and the tricks of the first cameras, he also retrieves an important concept of art: mystery.
Art is born through the unawareness of what is happening to us, from the unawareness of what we are seeing and if what we are seeing is real or an illusion of our senses.
It is in the human failure, somewhere between the known and the unknown that art emerges.
And it's not just the photographer who does not know what is going to happen the moment he captures an image. Even after the exhibition the observer is left in the unknown.
In a privileged way, this Exhibition is about our human condition, not knowing what we are looking at or what is going to happen to us and is revealed to us in beautiful shapes and forms.
