Yay! Back with my people today. They were all happy to hear the news. This will be a fun undertaking. I started to get nervous. After all, I've been pretty unshackled schedule-wise since 2003. My schedule was set by my children's needs. But there was a lot of free time built into that. I could have used it more wisely I suppose, but still, it's what I'm used to.
That being said, I can always quit. I can always find more temp jobs while I work with my horses. So I have that. But why try to cobble together a series of jobs when a better-paying one, with work I mostly enjoy, and co-workers who are awesome, is thrown into my path?
Nah, I'm going to ride this out for awhile and see where it leads. I already know that it's been great for my morale. Other grown-ups! A stay-at-home parent's dream. I can see that it's been good for me to be more active in the world. So instead of hesitating in fear or doubt, I'm going to look at this as an opportunity to get another step closer to where I want to be. I'll leave the "how" up to fate.
