Went over to my Mom's this a.m. and spent some time talking to my Great-Uncle "J" (super long story about he ended up in Omaha living with my Mom.) In his 90s, he's dying of leukemia. About 4-6 months left, he says. He's really O.K. with it. He's an interesting man and I enjoyed catching up with him. It's been almost 20 years. Still very much alert, just super weak. He was talking about his wife (my blood relative) who was a very difficult woman. I've always wondered what he thought about her. I avoided her as much as possible. Turns out, he really didn't like her either. Was talking about the relief mixed with the grief when she died several years ago. I almost asked him how he felt about seeing her again in a few months. Thought better of it. But it would be an interesting prospect if I were in his position.
