Yesterday I spent the entire afternoon and early evening at the barn. Rode with a couple of the ladies there who are "bomb-proofing" their horses. It's an obstacle course of things that can frighten horses. Balloons, balls, hanging plastic strips, and much more. Mr. Jones was wary, but relatively calm. I did pretty well until the wind kicked up. Then, Mr. Jones was alert but remained calm. I became a nervous wreck. Looks like I need the bomb-proofing more than he does. Riding with them again next week to get myself acclimated to "scary" things. Well, they always say, you train the rider, not the horse. So true, in my case.
