New bedspread. I like it (?), though it's a lot "busier" spread out over the bed than I thought it would be when I saw it in the store.
My son came in this morning and said "Whoa, Mom! New bedspread!" With no further comment.
My daughter came in. I asked her what she thought. She paused a moment, then said, carefully, "Well, it's to your taste." Honestly, I'm always amazed at how she handles herself when other people's feelings are involved.
She has an innate ability to stand her ground and speak up for herself while being mindful that what she says, and how she says it, will have an effect on others. She'll go far and do well. I never worry about her.
