I don't take these as often anymore. Life is getting busier. But I'm always glad when I have a chance to get down to the water. A friend came over for dinner and we took a walk to the beach. It was a beautiful evening, with a good friend. The perfect ending to a wonderful weekend.
Here's the nice thing about my job....since I've realized they don't really care about what I can uniquely contribute to the company, I just don't think about it while I'm away. The partners are happy doing their thing, knowing I'm around to help out if need be. But as far as any creative input, they don't want to hear it. Which I'm genuinely cool with. Their company, their needs, their rules. That's okay. I'll do my own things. In the meantime, I have a place to go, people to interact with, and I get a little extra income. Yes, I'm definitely working on my own things. This job keeps me motivated, in a good way, and out in the world. I've chillaxed about the whole thing. So I put in my time; I mostly enjoy it, and come the weekend, it really is a mini-break. I feel refreshed and ready for a new week.
I don't fret about Monday mornings and going to work. I actually look forward to it. So many interesting things are happening on the personal growth front. New and fun things keep showing up. Life is just really entertaining right now. Not everything is exactly to my liking; but I figure that just gives me something to work towards.
