I had an interesting meditation this morning. I was standing at the top of a mountain, studying the terrain in front of me. To the left was a golden city, the avenues and buildings interspersed with peaceful, fragrant gardens. The entrance to the city was marked by a gate, with its welcoming doors flung open.
The road leading up to it was wide and well-maintained. The surrounding countryside was green and lush.
I saw a traveler riding towards the gate, and knew I was observing myself. From my vantage point I could see that while the last part of the journey had been relatively easy and peaceful, the city I was headed for was more beautiful still. Filled with friends and opportunity.
Looks like staying in my lane is paying off.
