Today during my morning meditation, I heard, "Jump into the day with reckless abandon." Cool, right? Then I heard, "Unleash the Kraken." Say what?
So I thought about it, and decided I was going to go about my day with utter faith that all would be well, or not. But that I would remain open and curious. Reserving judgment on and refraining from anxiety over anything.
It was a fine day. Work was fun. My boss was friendly. My tasks were pleasant. A friend came over for dinner and we had a fun family evening (He's my son's godfather, and has known my daughter since she was born as well.)
It wasn't a day of spectacular good fortune; but rather one that allowed me to appreciate the good fortune I already have. Or I was in a place to allow it.
No Krakens were seen, unless I'm the Kraken. Not sure how I feel about that.
On an entirely different note, I heard this song today. I'm not often drawn to Taylor Swift, but I do agree with the sentiment.
