I'm preparing for an upcoming camping trip with a bunch of friends and I decided to make some amazing Bloody Mary's while we're enjoying mother nature. Because really, what's better than a Bloody Mary garnished with campfire bacon? Nothing is, that's what. I'm making 2 different infusions, one spicy and one tame. For the spicy version, I've made a Jalapeño/Black Peppercorn Infused Vodka and for the tame version I've made a Pickle Infused Vodka.
It's super easy to infuse vodka, and the experimentation options are endless.
Now I'll store them in a dry, cool cupboard and shake them once a day for the next 5 days, tasting them throughout. You have to be careful with the pepper infusions because they could be spicy enough in as few as 3 days, so as soon as it's hot enough for your liking, you'll want to strain it and refrigerate.
