Gabriella shared this story about her experiences visiting her local doctors office to get the morning after pill. Often nurses ask you why you need the morning after pill. She felt judged because she wasn't in a committed relationship and thought the nurse disapproved of something that is personal to her, and, irrelevant to being able to get the pill...
My pharmacist last year was inside my local shopping centre - they would ask me why I needed the morning after pill in front of other patients as well as shopping customers... feeling judged is something that a lot of people have spoken about when it comes to talking about sex with their doctor. I don't feel shame in asking for one, but do know that others (older generations often), don't always share this openminded belief.
Have you been questioned before being able to take the morning after pill? Do you feel as though it has connotations of shame at all, or are you nonchalant / super chill at asking for the MAP? Let us know!
