Throwback Thursday! This photograph records the accident when Pilot Cadet Weiss lost control of his plane and crashed into the third floor of a building on the north side of King Street west. Weiss was stationed at Leaside and was flying in C526 on a training exercise when he lost control. After knocking some bricks off the building, the plane became suspended on the hydro wires. The pilot was unhurt (he simply climbed up the wing onto the roof of the building) and the only injury was caused when a falling brick struck Mrs.Guy on the shoulder as she was leaving Porter's Dry Goods Store.
