Mick Finn: I love the way that Under Lucky Stars connects people in time and place to the seemingly endless stars above. I would really love the chance to add my space art to Under Lucky Stars maps so as to keep connecting people, and to convey the wonder and excitement of exploring and thinking about the galaxy. The three sketches submitted show space exploration (the Cats-eye Nebula), an indigenous (Australia) creation story (part of a daily animation series), and a sketch of the Whirlpool galaxy. These were created using live-animation software (Tagtool) using simple vector-style brushes which allows for instant animation in live music performances (our band is Kuki Koori).
