Going to try something with a pure white background today in order to see how it looks on the Ello page. Product photography shot for Dennis Bernard, Inc. (Beauty Products) Shooting white objects on a white background can be tricky. The idea is to allow the product to be slightly grey, with the background being pure bright "255." One novel to do this is to use a softbox behind the product for the most shadowless control of the white intensity, then use bounce cards in front of the product. Naturally, the bounced light will be slightly less bright than the background. This allows the white product to stand out from the background, rather than be engulfed by it. I also used a reflective white surface for a natural (not created) reflection.
