What I am liking about ello the most so far, is that I get that turn of the century LiveJournal feeling from it. LiveJournal was a socially freeing, internet playground. Alternately, Facebook feels so cut and dry, so real world, simply an extension of the day to day. A mirror showing the mundane horror of living. No art, just avarice.
LiveJournal had this public anonymity, where you were free to be yourself, but also inhabit a character of yourself. You could be your perfect Platonic form of you, the you that exists mostly in your mind. The internet should not be a facsimile of life, it should be a caricature.
Here I can be a cartoon.
