A long, long time ago, I wrote a song called Sad Livin' In The City, and my pal Layden Bryant wrote lyrics and and sang them. This song resonated with a lot of people, being a deep house story of love in the zombie apocalypse. It was released originally on Dope Recordings with a suite of remixes, but Dope eventually closed down (and was reborn some years later as Make Mistakes.), and the tracks became unavailable anywhere for some time.
Eventually the song was pressed to vinyl by Black Feather and Communikey as part of a fundraiser for the Communikey Festival. Make Mistakes has ended up with a handful of copies, 25 to be exact, and we've put them online for sale, along with the original remix EP.
On the vinyl you get my original along with David Last's, frankly, superior remix, if you'd like to be one of the lucky few people to own a piece of this Colorado dance music history, you can click on through and grab a copy of the record. Otherwise, you can also purchase the digital EP. @ellomusic.
