When VSCO came on to the scene back in 2013. . . (I think it was released in 2013?) I had the app installed on my phone, I liked the design and it was easy to use. It stayed on my phone for a while, and then got uninstalled, not because it was a bad app, just because I didn't use it. Most of my friends were on intsagram, and photography wasn't as important me back then as it is now.
A few days ago I decided to re-download the app and give it another go, this time around the app lasted just under an hour. At first glance, it looks beautiful. Clean, minimal, easy to use. . . . Clean and minimal, yes! Easy to use, hell to the power of NO!
Navigating around the app is clumsy at best, settings and features are buried within settings and features. It seems like the focus was on making a good looking app with no substance and that's such a shame because of all the talented photographers who upload there works to VSCO.
